Raa-Raa & Da Zydeco Allstarz | LIVE @ The Dirty South

Zydeco at it's finest is best expressed in dance by those who immediately keep the dance floor occupied and clothes often seen dripping wet with sweat from their bodies. This is always one of those factors when you come to Zydeco with Raa-Raa & Da Zydeco Allstarz. Raa-Raa, hails from a french speaking creole family from Lafayette Parish in Lousiana and others who migrated from Avoyelles Parish. He reflects even the more growing up listening to authentic zydeco and lala music as in the styles of Clifton Chenier, Rocking Dopsie, Buckheat Zydeco, and many more.  

As a younger generation of creoles, he takes his heritage seriously; he renders zydeco tunes in both English & Creole French. He often reflects on the terminology, "if you don't know where you come from, you don't know where you going." His Allstarz Band is made up of a collaboration of talented musicians who arise from various musical genres, and perform their music both nationally and internationally. Their experiences alone have had them to travel all over Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, Jamaica, Conzumel, Cayman Islands, Monterrey and Mexico City.  

Raa-Raa does has not excelled just musically, but academically, holding a Bachelor of Arts, a Master's with dual concentration one being in Business Management with emphasis on Marketing, and in 2010, at age 27, completing and earning his Doctoral degree. This is Zydeco Music at its finest, and Raa-Raa definitely reserves the right to be billed as the "Hardest Working Man in Zydeco Business".
