About the Event
Cody would listen to anything from Merle Haggard to Led Zeppelin to Seether. He later started learning guitar in high school and played and sang in his church band. Hibbard eventually would put music aside for awhile after he was accepted into the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. After a shoulder injury that would force him to head back home, he was left without knowing what he wanted to do. During a semester at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, a friend of his asked him if he wanted to go work on the pipeline. He would continue to work out on the line, eventually becoming a pipeline welder. During Hibbard’s years of pipelining, he would eventually find his love of music again by playing for coworkers and friends around the campgrounds they would stay at. It wasn’t until he started gaining more recognition that he would decide to take his music to the rest of the public. On September 27th, Hibbard’s first single Half Whiskey, Half Lonely was released. He is back in the studio working on the first EP.
